Roy Meats
Roy Meats began selling paintings whilst still at school. His early medium was pencils and water colours which later extended into pen & ink, oil acrylic and then enamels.
Becoming an apprentice painter and decorator, he studied colour, designs and specialist finishes as part of his training. This quickly developed into a flair for sign-writing which eventually became his main source of income.
He set up his own sign-writing company in 1983 working for different breweries up and down the country and due to the huge demand for hand painted pictorial signs for pubs, his business flourished.
Throughout his life Roy has always painted. He has held numerous exhibitions and is consistently working on private commissions.
